Today, the Ukrainian School of Archetypes celebrates the 90th anniversary of one of the co- founders – CRYMSKY SERGIY BORYSOVYCH (1930-2010)

Ukrainian philosopher, culturologist, a bright representative of the Kiev philosophical school.
Laureate of the Shevchenko Prize, prizes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine: named
after DZ Manuilsky, named after M. Tugan-Baranovsky, named after D. Chizhevsky. Honored

Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, member of the New York Academy of Sciences.

His contribution to the school’s legacy is that he:

  • developed the Neoplatonic concept of isolating archetypal (like Platon’s eidos) structures of
    existence, mind and culture;
  • identified the archetypes of Ukrainian culture;
  • proposed a holistic concept of man as a carrier and center of culture.
