Laureate of the Shevchenko Prize, prizes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine: named
after DZ Manuilsky, named after M. Tugan-Baranovsky, named after D. Chizhevsky. Honored
Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, member of the New York Academy of Sciences.
His contribution to the school’s legacy is that he:
- developed the Neoplatonic concept of isolating archetypal (like Platon’s eidos) structures of
existence, mind and culture; - identified the archetypes of Ukrainian culture;
- proposed a holistic concept of man as a carrier and center of culture.
